So I promise these will get better. I can tell these are just like my old comics, but not as good because I'm stretching out what should be 4 panels... but still. Room for improvement! ALSO, in awesome news, my long time favorite, JIM MAHFOOD, totally talked about my book FIGHT on Meltdown comics podcast! He starts talking about me in the last 5 minutes, but it's a good podcast, you should totally listen to it! So pumped on this:

Round 2 START!

So after a long hiatus I'm finally BACK!

Maybe not the most positive one to start on, but still. As you can tell, this pretty much looks like the other comics, but hopefully this new format will allow me to try some different stuff. Some might be 10 pages long, some maybe just one like this one. Who can say.

Also, I don't know how long this new blog look will last... it's pretty gross looking, haha.

The End

So that's the end of my daily diary strips! I plan to compile all of them (there were some that I never posted online) for the third book with some extra stuff like always. Hopefully that will be done by the end of July. I'm still going to make auto-bio comics often, they're just going to be in a different format, so the first one of those should show up soon! Thank you all for reading my comics and being so encouraging for the past few years, you're the best.

In other news, check out the small painting of Greege Samantha made for me. It's my favorite birthday present:

Hi it's me again

Here's the OTHER ONE (Samantha should do more glitter portraits...). I guess I posted the picture I drew from last time, so here is this one's:

Better than last time, but still not very good. I'll do this experiment again in a year/few years! I always make eye's to big. Probably from my heavy anime/manga influence.

Also, there's only one more left guys! Yikes! You know I'm joking about the anime influence right?

Scotch Tape!

Get it, it's like scotch, and honey is sticky... so it's like tape. Scotch tape.

I drew it like it was a heelflip, but it was just a kickflip. It only took like 30 tries!

Denver Con // Whale Tail and Boob 2

Denver Con was a blast! Thanks for everyone who came to my table, and extra thanks if you bought something. I have 2 new books in MY STORE! They're both collabos, the first one, BOOB 2: BOOB HARDER is the sequel to Boob, where me and JON GARZA mail a sketchbook back and forth and make really immature/funny jam comics! Only $2. Jon also has this in HIS STORE, AND he has a really sweet new comic about his dogs called LUCHA DOGS that you guys should buy, so maybe just pick up both of these together from him...

Then there's WHALE TAIL! A collabo art book I made with Samantha! I really like how this turned out, our styles are so different! 8-pages for only a buck. Check them out!

Also I'm pleased to officially announce WHALE TAIL, and 8 page artbook me and Samantha made together! I was up until 4 finishing this last night for the DENVER COMIC CON which starts today! It's only $1, I'll be selling it all weekend and put it in the online store next week. Hope to see some of you Denver dudes today!

A Portrait of Adrien Zupe

This is my rejected submission for a Baltic comics anthology called Kus. The theme was 'artventurous'. I'm pretty bummed that I didn't get in, it's a really great looking book, and I thought my story was pretty cool. I painted the backgrounds and then did some coloring on top in photoshop. Oh well, let me know what you think:

Well, it is a little messed up. Not my best work I guess.

Oh yeah, and here's my comic from yesterday. I'm moving up in the world:

Forgot // Spinanoodles

I went to a figure studies session for the first time in forever yesterday, I posted all of them on my tumblr YEA BOIIIII, but these three are my fave.

Uh oh internet friends... prepare yourself for this one...

Dang! It's true, after 3+ years of making daily comics, I plan to stop on my birthday this year. I've thought about it a lot and came to this conclusion like 9 months ago.

It won't be as big of a deal as it seems though. I'm still going to do slice-of-life style auto-bio comics, I just want to switch up the format a little bit. I plan on making one or two longer little comics a week, so I'll still be drawing just as much. I feel like I hit a plateau with the daily strips a while ago, and I've just been cruising ever since. I don't feel like I'm learning anything artistically from doing it anymore. Don't get me wrong though, I love making daily diary comics, and I'm kind of anxious to stop, but I just think I need to move on.

Tweet // Paula // Nose hair

I want to save the one I did yesterday, because I wanted it to be it's own post...
