cork-board is too much work/takes up a lot of visual space. you can put in two (level!) nails at the highest point, and hang a string from each. then you can somehow attach the photos to the strings (paper 'l-brackets' with a hole in em? lots of tape? paper clips/wire? idk!) i just made this idea up right now, but i bet it would work

Yeah, I went with a corkboard for that kind of stuff, too.
