Nobody reads stories to one another anymore! It was a delight as a child to have a story read to you. Why do we discontinue the practice just because we can read for ourselves? Hm.
I read that book to my kids a lot. I think the one dog who does not like the other dog's hat is the original pick up artist. I always imagine they go and have wild dog sex at the end of the book. I mean, where else are they going in that car?
That was one of my favorite books. Especially the part where there's a ton of dogs asleep in bed. My OCD would kick in and I'd have to count them every time I read the book.
