It's a solid 15-20 minute walk from my house to work, I feel really bad. Also, check out this little write-up my buddy Justin Wood did about me! It's from a paper from Radford University. Radford sounds pretty sweet, it's like coolville or something. I think he mixed up paragraphs, because Time magazine didn't recognize my mini comic 'fresh to death' as one of the 100 Best Novels until 2006, but still, a pretty cool write-up.

Munny Self-Portrait

My comics are sucking lately... Anyways, I painted a Munny yesterday for the Bordo Bello art show in a few weeks! I kinda wanted to push myself to do something a little different (not just doodle cartoony stuff all over it like I would usually do), so I decided to make a self portrait in a painterly style. Mostly because I can't remember the last time I drew myself (zing!). It ended up being way more cartoony than I thought, but I think the colors are cool. Here's some process shots:

SPX MEGA POST!

Spx was SO awesome, I met so many people that I love. I did miss out on a lot of stuff, but still, it ruled. I'm definitely going back next year. I spent like a million dollars on comics though, here are just the books I bought:

FIGHT and SPINADOODLES year two!

FINALLY! I'm back from SPX (mega-post comics tomorrow) and ready to put up my two new books for sale in MY STORE! First up is the longest single story comic I've done, the Xeric-winning FIGHT!


It's an 80 page, perfect bound, graphic novella about the world champion of fighting, FIGHT! Usually my comics are pretty cutesy, so this was my attempt at making a gross comic. There's lots of blood, barfing, milking and cuss words, so it's not for babies. Best of all it's only $5 plus $1 shipping! A steal! Here's the first chapter of the 8 chapter story ON MY FLICKR.

Next up, my second year collection of my daily Spinadoodles strip! It's actually more like a year and two months. It's over 100 pages, with over 400 strips and some pretty sweet extras! It's a 7" x 7" monster of a book. And I put alllllll the comics in here, even the ones I was too embarrassed to put on my blog. Here are some pics:

So I printed all me shirts! The printing process went SUPER smoothly, me and Samantha banged out the prints with ease. their's like 5 sorta messed up ones, but the rest are pretty much perfect!

I'm not going start sending them until I put FIGHT and the next SPINADOODLES collection in my store, which will be probably next week (I know this is taking forever, but my FIGHT printers effed up and haven't even shipped them to me yet! sheesh). But it's still not too late to buy a t-shirt from me RIGHT HERE!
