T-shirt news

This is my first non-comic post in like a year! I have officially decided to change the t-shirt design to this:

I like this image a lot better, and sorta feel like I'm a pro at burning screens now, so it should end up lookin good on a shirt. If you haven't ordered, you still can HERE. I'm already sorta close to running out on some sizes so get em while they're hot (thanks if you already bought one)!

Comics and important T-Shirt news

I finally made my first shirt test prints this weekend. I hated how they came out, but looking at it today I came to the conclusion that they're not that bad. I really like how splotchy the shirts got when I dyed them, but I'm still not crazy about the design. Here's a sample pic:


What do you think? If people don't like it them I'm going to change the design. Heres what I was thinking instead (I'll clean it up later, this is just first draft):

I'm going to make my desicion to change tomorrow, so please let me know if you have an opinion! Also, thanks for buying a shirt if you already ordered one!

I'm going to start collecting pokemon drawings! Here's an Ivysaur by JON and a Charmander by KEVIN. I was inspired by PRANAS' challenge to draw the whole pokedex!

Knives and BORDO BELLO 2011

I painted another skateboard yesterday, for an upcoming Bordo Bello show! This is my THIRD YEAR participating in this show, and it's always pretty fun. This year they've even 'hand-selected' some artists to draw on Munnys: Including me! So more on that soon. My deck this year stars KING GAR:

It's all spraypaint and paint pens, because I didn't want to deal with acrylic like I usually do. It was WAY easier and I like the outcome. Here are some process and detail shots:

a GARZA weekend

So Jon and Steph visited this weekend! I totally Love those guys. Here's a picture of me and Samantha's needle felting bunnies, I wish I got one of Jon and Stephanies. Maybe he'll put it on HIS BLOG! There will definitely be some more needle felting to show. #crafting

Also, we went to Boulder on Saturday and I finally got to pick up the free paper (Colorado Daily) that's been running my comic 5 times a week! Nice!

The Whipping Boy

I've decided to change my T-shirt a little. I took off the text that was on the bottom and am going to print it in a dark brownish-red ink. Not sure if i'm going to have a more yellowy or red orange!

Thanks to EVERYONE who said they would buy a tshirt! Because they're sort of expensive to make, I'm ONLY making enough shirts for people who tell me they want one. ALSO, I'm thinking about making screenprints for the release of my Xeric book, FIGHT! I got the printers proof a few days ago and they just started printing the actual copies yesterday! I've been wanting to make some tshirts for a long time and this is a good excuse to finally do it. They would be screenprinted BY HAND (and maybe dyed by hand...? more on that later), and be only $15! Since shirts are expensive and time consuming to make I wanted to keep some kind of tally to see how many people would actually want/buy one. SO, if you're interested, pleeeeeease contact me with your shirt size (if you're a girl could you send your girls shirt size and you're boys shirt size? is that embarrassing? i'm sorry. If you're embarrassed, just say you want one, I'll understand).
