SHARKER THE FORGOTTEN

IT'S HERE!

I'm so excited to finally be finished with my newest mini-comic, Sharker, the Forgotten: the Story of Sean Kerr! It's 24 pages, a really weird/cool size (6.25" x 5.25"), ONLY THREE DOLLARS, and it's by far the best drawn mini comic I've made so far:

And there's even a surprise when you finish the story...

A bonus mini-comic! That's right, there's an extra 26 page little side story!

I printed a TON...

So check out this little 3 page preview:

Trust me, it gets better... and did I mention that it's ONLY THREE DOLLARS?! They're available right over there ---> so go get one! Or like 20! Thanks!

Shaving

A few weeks (months?) ago I asked a few people to do an art trade thing that I got invited into, and just kinda forgot about it... until this morning when my Tasmanian friend CHRIS DOWNES emailed me this awesome comic! He said he made it just for the email, but it would be crazy not to share his crazy drawing skills with the world! So check it!

Nice Pucca dude, I totally printed this out and hung it on my wall. His comics are the best so READ THEM!

Stay at Home Sam

Today's comic is a tribute to my good online friend, Matt at Spinadoo Comics! A few days ago he did his comics in my style, so I had to return the favor. And I will never look at his comics the same way again. A couple months ago Matt sent me one of his originals of his comics, and I was blown away by how small it is! So when I made this one I just copied his template, and some of his crazy viewpoints too (especially panels 2 and 3). This seriously took 3 times as long start to finish as my comics normally take (I timed it), and I can't imagine making one of these daily! and even though I tried to make it a lot more detailed then my usual stuff, it's not anywhere close to the level of detail he has! And the coloring! Jeez, Matt, you set the bar so high. I even thought I was being original when I put a photo in my comic a few days ago, and then I found this one in the Spinadoo archives: TAPE (haha that one's awesome)!

I'm glad I did this experiment, because now I can FULLY appreciate every Stay at Home Matt I read. Seriously Matt, you need to scan in a comic with a quarter on top of it so show people how freakin tiny you draw! And it's so clean!!! HOW?? You're the man dude.

Stealing, Ticket and Tommy

haha, why would I date that one 1-21-06?

Well I have to say thanks for the love-fest that was my last blog post. I can't say how grateful I am that all you guys check my blog! Especially those who comment all of the time! But hey, what's a auto-bio comic without a little self-degradation every once and a while? Also, Check out this video I made on Xtranormal.com:

And have you read this blog post about Toro Y Moi? It's really crazy when someone who generally makes fun of everyone makes a somewhat genuine post about how rad Chaz's music is.

Candle Shaving

I had to take a picture of the Motorhead mustache. It's pretty cool, right?

And since I'm putting up pictures, here's a cool one of Samantha's neice, Anna, and I at christmas time:

Ahhh, the wonders of Photo Booth.

And Chaz is repping Cola HARD in his BLESSA MUSIC VIDEO! Yup, that's me making my pitchfork debut, along with all my other Columbia friends! You can even see Samantha's ponytail a few times! TORO Y MOI is KILLING it right now! Yeah Chaz!

Duuuplex

My scanner doesn't auto-duplex (you have to buy that separately), so I have to turn pages over manually. Here's a mess up of a new comic called iLuv that I was trying to print double sided.

I think that looks awesome! I'll post iLuv in a few weeks, after I send it to Acme Comics, for their 'awkward moments' anthology, which is due on February 1st. I'm pretty sure they are going to extend the due date, and if they do, you should submit something too!
